The counter rolled over today to 26 for me. Yep, 26 years I’ve made it so far. Kinda hard to believe that actually cause I still feel the same as I did when I was 16… I’m really just a 16 year old kid at heart just riding my bike around looking for a bigger thrill. It’s true. They say after 25 you don’t get much benefit from birthdays. I can already drink, rent a car and I even already got my break on auto insurance last year(I immediately crashed my car and negated that reduction). I guess I gotta make something happen this year to make this one noteworthy….
We did an awesome training ride here in Spain. The training camp is coming to a close for most of the riders. I’m gonna be kicking around an extra week though to soak up some of the good weather and good riding. This is the best december I’ve ever had in a lot of ways. I’m away from home for the holidays but you know what, ain’t no big deal. I have my amazing girlfriend Ally Stacher, @stacherchick, coming to spend Christmas with me in Gent before we both head back to Spain for some more training. She is amazing if you haven’t heard of her yet, you will. She signed with HTC’s Pro women’s team for 2011 and is set to make her mark on the cycling world this year. I’m super excited for her to show the world what she can do. Ahhhhh, she’s amazing. Join her fan page! http://www.facebook.com/JPMurph#!/group.php?gid=174398979982
These holidays really are just a celebration of life and that’s just what I’m doing here. Living how I know which is mostly riding my bike right now. I have goals coming up early in the season and I can’t afford to not be here training.

Spain’s got mountains and of course the beach. Alicante has it all!
